Fees & Payments
At Dr John Caine's dental practice, we're committed to transparent and open communication about our fees. Our standard rates are set above the Medical Aid tariff. However, we understand everyone's financial situation is different. If you require, we can arrange to charge the Medical Aid tariff before starting your treatment.
We encourage conversation around the costs involved, especially for more extensive treatment plans. This helps you stay informed and plan accordingly.
Medical Aid
It's essential to be aware of what your medical aid covers. We recommend checking your medical aid allowance to understand how it aligns with your dental needs.
For certain procedures involving a dental technician (such as crowns or bridges), we may request a deposit on the total treatment cost prior to completing the work. Please note that we are responsible for settling payments with the dental laboratory within 30 days.
Payment Notice
We kindly ask that you settle your account after each visit. It's important to remember that managing the account is the responsibility of you, the patient, not the dental practice. We can submit your account to your medical aid scheme upon request. However, ensuring the account is paid promptly remains your responsibility.
As a courtesy, we offer a 10% discount for immediate payment (non-medical aid fees) if the account is paid at the end of your appointment on the same date. Please note that this discount does not apply to dental laboratory fees.
Please be aware that accounts outstanding for 60 days or longer will incur interest at the bank's prime rate.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please do so more than 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments or cancellations made without a full day's notice may incur a fee equivalent to a consultation for each half-hour period of the scheduled appointment time.

Mediese Vonds
Dit is noodsaaklik om bewus te wees van wat jou mediese vonds dek. Ons beveel aan om jou mediese vonds se toelae te beheer om te verstaan hoe dit aansluit by jou tandheelkundige behoeftes.
Vir sekere prosedures wat 'n tandtegnikus betrek (soos kroon- of brugwerk), kan ons 'n deposito hef op die totale behandelingskoste voor die voltooiing van die werk. Let wel dat ons verantwoordelik is vir die afhandeling van betalings met die tandheelkundige laboratorium binne 30 dae.
Betalings Kennisgewing
Ons vra vriendelik dat jy jou rekening na elke besoek betaal. Dit is belangrik om te onthou dat pasient verantwoordelik is vir die betaal van die rekening. Op die pasiënt se versoek kan ons die rekening na die pasiënt se mediese vonds aanstuur - dit bly steeds die pasiëntt se verantwoordelikheid om te verseker dat die rekening spoedig betaal word.
As 'n hoflikheid bied ons 'n 10% afslag vir onmiddellike betaling (nie-mediese vonds tariewe) as die rekening betaal word aan die einde van jou afspraak op dieselfde datum. Let wel dat hierdie afslag nie van toepassing is op tandheelkundige laboratorium koste nie.
Wees asseblief bewus dat rekeninge wat 60 dae of langer uitstaande is, rente teen die bank se primekoers sal aantrek.
Kansellering Beleid
Ons verstaan dat planne kan verander. Indien jy jou afspraak moet kanselleer of uitstel, doen dit asseblief meer as 24 uur voor die afspraak. Gemiste afsprake of kansellasies sonder 'n volle dag se kennisgewing kan 'n fooi tot gevolg hê wat gelyk is aan 'n konsultasie vir elke halfuur periode van die geskeduleerde afspraaktyd.
